Empire has always been slapped with the tag of a beginners cabal, and for the most part with good reason. It's easy to get in, and you wield decent power no matter how pathetic you are. However, among certain Imperials, the roleplay is outstanding. It's mostly with other Imperials, however, and the rest of Thera doesn't have a chance to see it. When an Imperial kills you and says it's because you didn't take the bloodoath, is that bad roleplay? It's surely no worse than, "you are a mage, and must die", or, "you defile nature, and must die", or, "you are blinded by fog, and must die". Try speaking with some of the more elite Imperials, you might be suprised. Sure, there will always be non-roleplaying idiots in the Empire, but truthfully, every cabal has them, even the Warders, although to a lesser extent. Empire just has greater numbers, so, it has the greatest chance for idiots to run around and give it a bad name. I'm not saying it's a better roleplaying cabal than the others, but it's surely no worse than most of them.
