Servitors: These are the races that can be conjured from the Inner and Outer Planes to serve the Conjurer. Archons, Demons, Devils, Angels, Nightgaunts, Fire/Earth/Air/Water Elementals. All may be bound into service. When conjured, all of these races will follow their conjurer. Unless some weird case is happening out there, you will know who conjured this creature if it is just standing around.

Familiars: a spirit inhabiting the body of an animal, an extension of the Conjurer himself. The homonculous in your example is a familiar, not a servitor race. They can wander around under the Conjurer's control. They are fragile and easily destroyed. Any Conjurer would be a fool to try and PK with them.

Unbound races: Creatures that the Conjurer can call to a target plane w/o being able to control of bind them (eg: Smoke-mephits).

I think part of the problem here is that we're talking apples and oranges. In my previous post I said "Servitor races (the ones you're talking about anyway) do not up and walk around by themselves. They simply don't." This is STILL true. These are the dangerous creatures. If they're wandering around by themselves, we've got some serious bugs to fix.

> A conjie's boys CAN attack you without the Conjurer being there, so unless you have one conjurer in your range you're not going to know who's looking for you blood.

Only the Familiar can just walk up and attack you. Nightgaunts can as well, but I know you aren't talking about them, because the first Conjurer to get them hasn't used them yet. Familiars are extremely dangerous for a Conjurer to use in this way, and their extremely fragile. A Conjurer using them for attacks is looking for his own blood.

> I've seen A conjie's boys walking around, smelling the roses, looking at me and my friends, and attacking things without the conjie in sight so I know it's possible.

Same answer.

> A homonculous walks up to you and beats you down. You do a who pk and see 4 conjurers and wonder to yourself "Boy I wish I knew who the fucker was that sent that." It's this instance that having a tag on him would be helpeful.

There was a bug in Familiars for the first few days where they were doing more damage than they should. I can only think that that's what you're referring to, because they really are pathetic fighters. A homonculous is a Familiar, and shouldn't be beating anyone down.

Also, I'm not taking this as an assault on ideas. The thing that's pissing me off is the mis-information that's floating around, or the conjecture that "X is way out of line" when X may not even be possible.
