Damn, son. I guess protec and giant size are the deciding factor. I fought two of them and neither one hit me that hard, leading me to believe that the nightgaunts are not a mirror of oneself, but a standard issue mob that is probabaly rank dependant. They're nightgaunts, not frightful fiends.
