Septach is a whore for the ragers. He comes to the tower and summons -- summons! -- masters to him while his is standing with battleragers who are asking him to do it.
As an aside, of course we all know it sucks to lose a con that quick, and while there's a thrill of pking like that, there is also the pang of guilt having done it, like Nallokin said. But killing septach twice in a relatively short period of time is nothing that septach wouldn't do himself -- and has tried to do.
> Since you bring it up, yes. And a much larger grace period than Masters have occassionaly been granted when there are more villagers than Masters, and they have the Orb. And yes, he should have been ready to go. How many of the "elite" players are constantly ragging on people for not being fully equipped by the time they're unghosted? I can do it, and I certainly don't consider myself elite. Hell, I probably only know 10% of the quests in the game, and only one of the special wands.

As far as the game goes, master should con-death him. He raids, he attacks you while you try to retrieve, he summons you to a band of ragers, come on. Don't feel bad at all. You did exactly what you should have done, given who your character is.
And that by accident.
I don't really know what this situation with Septach has to do with you, as I was giving explations for his benefit. Not for people who post under "anonymous" nicknames ('A villager' and 'A master', for example) with vaguely witty and pitifully scathing comments. Perhaps other people agree with you and I'm a total ass for killing him twice (the only two times I've _ever_ killed him), and perhaps not. Either way, I don't really care. But, I'll tell you what... I'll let you know when I play the game for the purpose of pleasing everyone else, rather than trying to have fun myself and drawing the line at certain things.
Oh, and what were the arguments about Imperials repeatedly killing everyone? I really don't remember, I wasn't paying much attention to that debate as I was playing a Troupe at the time, but again... In-character, I had every reason to kill him until his weakly shuddering lungs could no longer draw breath. Instead, I used my OOC feelings to stop at two deaths. Why doesn't anyone yell at me for using OOC knowledge? Why am I now getting bitched at for playing the role I chose? Would everyone bitch and moan if, say, Gathen was killed repeatedly for being Anathema? Or if Agorinth constantly hounded some Warder? I rather doubt it. They would say, "Oh, well, that's all part of the role." Well, it is in this case as well and I broke that role by basically calling off the attack.
Nallokin the tired of getting bitched at for causing 2 out of 50 or so possible deaths.
