And what would you have them do? Give you
Radakh (who liked it better when anonymity was the norm
a pamphlet detailing their reasons for not
wanting magic cast? The battleragers are
a cabal that has one thing in mind; to keep
the magic of the world in the hands of the
gods. That's it. The way they go about it
has changed a few times, but still their one
goal is kill the magic using mortals. And
as far as not roleplaying, they are not any
worse than the rest of the cabals I've seen.
The characters I interacted with in the village
were, for the most part, roleplayed well.
I left the village of IC reasons, but as a
player I miss the interactions with the other
characters in battle.
The thing I see changing in the whole of the
game is the roleplaying aspect. When I first
started playing on CF, the roleplaying was, well,
pretty poor, but it got a lot better real fast
and within a year or so was very good, the best
of any pk mud I'd played. The last year or so though
it's fallen again, why, who knows. Player base
change? Possibly. Age of players.. mmm a small maybe,
but still a possibility. I do think a large
part of the problem still stems from ooc forums
such as this. Something is lost when anonymity
disappears. With the use of ooc forums, irc, etc..
it's too easy to know the other players instead of
just their characters. It doesn't
help when one player has 3 characters created.
Instead of thinking up a character and then finding
the class to fit it's story, there's 3 characters
rolled up just because the classes are cool. So
instead of bob the great and wonderous paladin
from the land of purity sent to save us from
the evils of society we have wizardx assassiny and
warriorz. Anyways that's bout all the rambling
I can do for now.
not the exception)
