Ages past, an order of knights was ordained that held honour above all else. Led by a cloud giant warrior, this cabal brought hope to Thera and served as a Icon for the oppressed. Eventually things changed, as they do, and the Knights of Thera stopped inducting those of neutral morality, and withheld the Light as high as Honour. Time passed, and changes rolled in, the tides of war turned against the Light, and the Knights of Thera began putting the defence of Light above Honour. This was their downfall, for they forgot the precept that they were founded on.
Now the time has come again for Honour to take foothold upon Thera. Now is the time for the Knights of Thalos.
Knights of Thalos cannot be chaotic or evil, nor are assassins and thieves welcome.
Powers:
Smite (skill): if a knight is attacked when already engaged, he summons force a burst of adrenalin and rage at the insult to honour and smites the new opponent with a powerful undefendable blow.
Disengage (skill, automatically at 100%). If a knight is fighting another player and the knight's groupmate(s) join in, the knight will automatically disengage from combat to even the odds. (This may still leave the knight in combat with the opponents groupmates, and Second may trigger if the opponent has groupmates hadn't assisted against the knight yet). Note also that a knight cannot murder (or otherwise initiate combat against) a player that is already in combat.
Subdue [target] (skill): can be used to initiate combat, or in combat. After he chooses to subdue a target, the knight's damage is halved, but each hit has a chance of knocking his opponent unconcious.
trueblade [weapon] (power): by calling on the power of his order and his knowledge of knightly arms, a knight can increase the power of an otherwise weak weapon (adds hit and damage proportial to the difference between the knights level and the weapons level/avg - a knight hero may get a orcish sword up to about avg 30 (0.5*(KnLevel+avg)), +4 +4 (0.1*(KnLevel-WpnLevel) and angrist up to avg 39 +0 +0. Effect would never reduce a weapons stats, and would last for KnightLevel hours.
Thats about all I can think of. Might not be enough active skills. Any comments/ideas?
Second [target] (skill): if any player attacks the target when the target is already fighting, the knight will automatically interpose himself and engage the new assailant himself. This skill works on all group members without specifying a target, and replaces assist for PKs.
