While I agree that changes need to be made, and I love the powers you came up with, I think the idea of having one cabal with sects is better than

Well, first of all, sects have been done. In following with the general theme of the imm's and keeping everything new and unique, I thought three cabals that act as one was far more interesting.

See? You made my point.. we don't want a good empire.

Oh? It depends... First, with three cabals, you must take three items to remove all their powers. If you fail to take, say, the avengers item, but get the servants and childrens item, all three of the cabals still have powers. The children and servants can still use holylight, and the avengers have all their powers. Further, when all three cabals have their item, they gain an ability similar to shadowgate, as they can walk from one cabal directly into another, from the northern planes right into seantryn.. or right into the middle of galadon... not bad, huh?

Yea, but only the servants are concerned with rescuing people. The servant's job is one of maintenance.. they fix stuff that's gone wrong for lightwalkers. The avengers job is one of preventative maintenance.. they stop the problems before they start (squishing evil), and the children are like the users of the machinery.. they live in the utopian environment created by the combined efforts of the servants and avengers. They are good for the sake of being good.
