It's not a bug. It's just the disadvantage of Masters. They all have to be mages :) Other cabals have other disadvantages. You have to live with it.
Why I don't hear whine from ragers that they can't cast elemental shields on Destructor or giant?

If you want to be a member of a cabal that can raid/retrive silently using a tigerclawing assassins you probably have to chose one where assassins are allowed.
Why I don't hear whine from imperials or arbiters that none of them can see camo (except for really rare case of a bloodoathed ranger)?
