Because they're suppose to destroy magic. It would seem that destroying the mage...an actual vessel of magic would be just a BIT more pressing then killing a shaman grouped with a mage who uses magic. If the mage didn't exist the shaman wouldn't be in the wrong. Where as if the shaman didn't exist the mage would still need killing. In my opinion a battlerager shouldn't ever turn to sinful groupmates until all the mages are dead.
