Sadly enough, I'm really starting to think this marks a low-point for the Fields as a whole. I could count the competent roleplayers I've come across within the past month on two hands, maybe two hands and a foot. Really, that's not a lot. Every single cabal out there seems to be guilty of quitting when the odds are against them. It just seems like that's a habit the majority of the playerbase has adapted. Now, I'm sure this was something I was guilty of as a younger player, so I'm hoping that with time will bring a certain degree of "CF maturity" (smirk) within the general CF populous.
God, I love this game, and I very sincerely hope it's not going down the toilet. If it does, it sure as HELL won't be the fault of the Imms, so don't even begin to think I'm going to go there.
Someone reassure me that the same five or so people who logged off their master heroes at twelve weren't the same five who logged on their battle heroes at 12:30? Please tell me that the people who are so obviously ruining the game just started playing a month ago, and thus don't have much of an appreciation or our conventions. Tell me that it isn't the experienced players who are CAPABLE of rising to a challenge who're fucking the game up. I'd really REALLY REALLY like to assume the best, but I've just seen so much bullshit that it's getting harder and harder. Please tell me that those aren't the same people who never play their imperial heroes anymore. You know what? It wouldn't be so fucked up if it WAS just five people fucking up the mud. What saddens me is that it looks like "those same five people" comprise the majority of the player-base.
Finally Laureant, don't feel too bad. I've seen much MUCH worse.
