Warriors of different specs have their strengths and weaknesses. If you want to kick the crap out of thieves, try using a polearm. Of course, there are also situations where it's better to be a spear specialist than a polearm specialist.. but these are the trade-offs you have to make, in selecting a specialization, or a class in general.
