I'm thinking maybe "searing light" is a positive attack which you, as a cloud giant, would be vulnerable to a la wrath. I can't imagine the thing doing that kind of damage through resist or whatever you ragers have that makes my blade worthless against you unless it's working off of your vulnerability.

Of course, i could be completely off base, in which case you should probably just disregard everything I'm saying.
