So does Nepenthe, but yes, you're right, for the most part...:

In Reply to: Challen plays easy characters... arial sword specs in empire when they're on top, storm sword specs in knights when they're on top (before dex mattered to specs)... etc. Nepenthe played an uncaballed lich that struck terror into every single person on the mud. n/t posted by Unseen on October 27, 1999 at 19:03:20:

If your point is that an uncaballed lich is an "underdog," forgive me if I laugh my ass off. Istendil was frightening and impressive, yes, but he's hardly an example of a "hard character." Actually, Nepenthe and I somehow keep finding ourselves playing similar things at similar times, which makes me think we have a similar philosophy on the game in some ways. He had a Blooded storm paladin while I was Challen, and a human Master invoker while I was Aurien, and I could continue, but won't.

Oh, and explain to me how my Rager or my Warder, conveniently omitted from your list, were examples of me taking the easy way out.

What exactly are you disagreeing with here, or is your point that Sokolov's character list is actually impressive? :P
