> I was reading one of these strings on the forum or the log board and I saw mention of the use of "triggers". I just wanted an opinion of its use from the general CF populace. I myself do not see any harm with setting a hunger/thirst trigger sending commands to get beef backpack;eat beef or something "harmless" like that. (I use the term harmless loosely.) But, I do think it is unfair to set a trigger that will trip/bash/jack/sleep etc. when Joe-Schmo has arrived or is just standing here. You may say I'm being hypocritical by using aliases and macros, but triggers are a leap and a bound away from that. In essence I could set a trigger to basically do everything I want. All I need to do is type n,e,s,w,u,d (if that much) or whatever and let my program do all my dirty work. Now some will say there's more to trigger set pk'ing than that, but the first attack is VITAL. What chance does one have against the speed of a computer? Not a good one. Some will say triggers can backfire (I love it when I run up and emote has summoned you!) but if used intelligently, it won't. Just wanted to hear other people's opinions on the subject. And please, let's try to keep it civil.
