As you can see, he clearly does not have a white aura around him, so whatever protection he is wearing, it is not sanctuary. As I didn't see the archon put a sanctuary up during the fight (Not to mention, the damage dealt didn't change from the first blow to the last), I would say he never had a sanc at all throught the fight.

So.. *clears this throat and tries not to sound too condecending* .. if YOU'D have been paying attention, you would have seen this. :)
