Huge marble pillars rise on either side of you and grab hold of the ceiling.
Between each of these, fine softstone frescoes have been carved depicting
scenes from the religous history of New Thalos. Rows of pews face forward
giving their full attention to the pulpit rising high above the ground. The
deep red carpeting underfoot shows not a speck of wear or dirt. It's obvious
that New Thalonians take religion seriously.

donations to the poor. Worn tapestries hang from the rafters obscuring the
windows across the upper half of the vaulted ceiling. You get the feeling
old Ahkeem might be over-rated as a craftsman, but his clothes are fashionable
nonetheless. A note hangs askew from a bent nail in the doorframe.

wonderful treasures. The din from the Market strikes you like a brick
but curiosity and wonder draws you into the crowd despite the deafening
noise. To the west a grand fountain adorns the Square. To the east
a street leads away from the chaos.
