Healers can be pretty buff if they are smart and accumulate the right gear (and have the right friends along to compliment their abilities).
As Nagreth, I usually wielded the Wand of Orcus or Claw of the Dracolich, with a 70-80 dam roll (human empire healer), and was either hasted through strange bracers or from a transmuter friend... regular ***Devastates*** were common.
However, its hard to justify a healer being such a killing-machine from a RP standpoint, and you'd probably stand some close scrutiny from your patron god as to whether or not you are living up to your empowered goals. (Luckily, Satan was my god, and he didn't seem to mind).
