LOL? Its been suggested before, and is actually a good idea IMO

Here are some ideas for it:

Shield Hook: By hooking the edge of your shield behind the edge of your opponents, you open up his defences for a free attack.

Shield Press: By pushing your shield into your opponent, you decrease his chance of defending against your attacks.

Shield Bash: as paladin skill

Shield Jab: Uses the edge of the shield as a bludgeon, works automatically like dual wielding.

Rhythm: Experienced shieldmen constantly move their shields in an unpredictable rhythm making it harder to get attacks past it.
