Fighting conjurers is like fighting Necromancers, except drive/summon/pull/etc won't work because of the following behavior. The number one rule is: Don't fight them when they are fully prepped. Having travelled with my share, they can either be the best thing that ever happened to your group, and they can also be a huge pain as you spend big chunks of time standing around watching them sleep for mana. They are just not ready all the time. Second, if you are level 20 and your opponent is level 27, you're going to lose most of the time. Period. Gear can matter a little, skill matters a lot, but all other things equal, you should pick a fight with someone else. To reiterate what so many others have said: If conjurers are so tough, why are none of them dominating any ranks? Nightgaunts are indeed tough, but I'm much more fearful of air majors and necromancers up around the 40's. I'd much rather deal with a level 30 conjurer then a level 30 thief. And lower than that, warriors and assassins are still the boss. So unless you have a more specific complaint.....
