Yes in the case of Gronsheik, Haedaon and Yasenhui there was some history between the chars, also, Neruiel demanded the bloodoath from those that he killed (being as he was destined to join the empire but he wasn't a citizen himself at the time). I also didn't kill all that many people, between rank 14 and 38 he killed approx 40 people, (including a few mistakes, killed one or two bloodoaths :P )
