Merydia feels the tower is a home and a place of study where all who study leave their biases at the Golem. She feels her duty is righteous, and fights with the fanaticsm of a monk defending his god's Temple.

Merydia takes the non agression rule very seriously, many believe that the Tower is 'evil' and 'ruthless', but she knows that if noone had taken the initiative to harm the scholars and theologists of the Tower, Masters would never fight.
