It appears that a paladin has little/no(?) chance against an Imperial shaman, for this reason: the shaman can dispell sanctuary, protection, etc v the paladin can't. The paladin's primary attack against evil, wrath, is inneffective against Black Shroud? I'd say, paladin don't have much to do against a shaman, but Harandor completely screwed this fight on his own. The definition of righteousness is that it prevents weapons and attacks that are holy in nature. What are a shaman's communes if not holy? What exactly does righteousness do? It seemed worthless in this battle. Heh, I'd call evil shaman's communes 'unholy'. Probably it's wrath/divine power that righteousness defends against, but I am not sure, never was a paladin, never wrathed a paladin. > 6. He is not sure he will win a fight, so he prepares to flee through the locked door if things go bad for him. So you could have a chance to run or teleport if things go bad. Looks like he was too self confident. Also, what the hell is this acidic bite? Come on, he had a mace of dragonis. Use a mace if you're fighting a shaman. If I remember right, Harandor is the storm giant, can dual with that mace. Btw, why didn't he dual? Communing curse takes only 1 round (even if he didn't know what exacly Agorinth is communing, he should have noticed that he communes every damn round while disarm lags you for 2 hours), so disarming was completely useless. > You narrow your eyes and glare in Harandor's direction. Ok, now he should have realized, disarming without blinding doesn't work. If he really wanted to rely on disarming Agorinth (which wouldn't help in my opinion, emperor doesn't usually walk with the only one weapon in inventory), should have relied on his shield more and tried to stay in the fight the longest, e.g. healed. > You narrow your eyes and glare in Harandor's direction. ... because pass door is dispelled and he's cursed. No way to escape now. The only way to win is to do good damage or if rely on disarm, heal and hope shield does its work. Harandor could escape in the beginning, then he had done nothing to at least try to win the fight :P
