The point was that a conjurer/conjurer fight would end with all servitors being dismissed, unless one or both of the conjurers didn't think especially well on their feet. And dismissing things is a *lot* easier than conjuring them... a couple hundred mana goes a long way. Four rounds later, you're looking at two people who can magic missile each other and try to beat each other to death without enhanced damage.

i.e. a stalemate
