I'd say that if this were outside the village, whether the bard could help
or not would be a judgement call... perhaps a little dishonorable, but not
like he's assisting... and notice, he didn't sing a healing song or anything
like that which is really that helpful to Ikiral. Fact is, the bard didn't
help much at all. There's nothing to complain about, on him.

And besides, as has been said below, this was at the Village. There's no reason
they shouldn't try to fight him off by any means necessary. (by the words of the
tablet at least, a rager could interpret it differently if he wished)
