I don't call it clear-cut evil to loot the pit, but it sure as hell isn't what a paladin does in my eyes. Let him have his things, then stomp into the ground when he thinks he's at his best. Kill him, sacrifice the tainted things, and keep at it. In the destruction of evil there is always the chance for ministry. And once again, I say paladins should be among the most upstanding citizens, the best examples of pure living. Heh. Looting an ap's things then running to your guild is just ka-ka to me.
