Yet another "dark" vs "light" argument... Kinda cool, IMHO. P.S. Yes, *I* know what braided circlets do. My drow didn't. Samsil gallantly tips its hat. You say 'I would speak to you...' Samsil says 'greetings' You nod. Samsil adjusts the bandages on his hands. You say 'You are a servant of the dawn, hmm?' Samsil says 'indeed' You say 'Perhaps you could fill me in on a few details?' Samsil says 'I shall do my best' Samsil smiles happily. You say 'My first question would be: What do the servants actually do?' Samsil says 'We instill faith in the light to all' Samsil says 'and Strengthen hope in all we can' You say 'Is this... Gratifying, then?' Samsil says 'gratifying?' Samsil says 'at times' Samsil says 'but I do not look for Gratitude' (ME) smiles slightly. You say 'What do you look for?' Samsil says 'well, Helping others brings joy to my heart' Samsil says 'teaching them does aswell' Samsil is here. Samsil says 'ten fold infact' Samsil looks at you. (ME) taps her teeth. Samsil adjusts the bandages on his hands. You say 'Teaching and helping.' Samsil says 'If I can bring one to realize the good within them, or benifit of my ways, then I am happy' Samsil says 'extremly so' Samsil smiles happily. You say 'The "good" within them?' Samsil nods. Samsil says 'there is light within us all' Samsil says 'some chose to hide this light, or cover it with dark deeds' Samsil adjusts the bandages on his hands. You say 'So I've heard. My question, what use is it?' Quelvruxx has arrived. Quelvruxx looks at Samsil. Quelvruxx smiles happily. Samsil says 'the kindness you show to others returns to you, often greater than that given' Quelvruxx says 'Indeed it does.' Samsil says 'greetings Quegzegar' ***hehehe*** You hear something's death cry. Samsil adjusts the bandages on his hands. Samsil says 'err Quelvruxx' Samsil smiles happily. Quelvruxx nods. Samsil closes its eyes with a look of concentration for a moment. You say 'What does kindness have to do with the light?' Quelvruxx leaves north. Samsil says 'people of the dark, are often fear kindness' You say 'People of the dark take advantage of kindness, if that is what you mean.' Samsil says 'indeed' Samsil says 'or, they shy from it' Samsil says 'thinking it a sign of weakness' You say 'But what is kindness? How does a kindness help any?' You say 'You say it helps you by giving you joy.' Samsil says 'indeed' You say 'Does it not only weaken the one receiving it?' Samsil says 'well, if ye are overbearing in your giving, it can hurt the one reciving, yes' Samsil says 'which is why I prefer to teach others' Samsil closes its eyes and hums for an instant. Samsil adjusts the bandages on his hands. Ragged and weather-worn, a haggard man shuffles by you, almost dismissable as any of the Samsil is using: You say 'Are all servants of the dawn... Sexless?' Samsil chuckles politely. Samsil says 'certainly not' Samsil says 'my circlets make me so' Samsil adjusts the bandages on his hands. Samsil says 'I would remove them, but they seem cursed' You nod. Samsil looks at itself. You say 'The worst curse of all, then.' Samsil chuckles politely. Samsil says 'indeed, tis not something I wish on others..' Samsil adjusts the bandages on his hands. You say 'There are ways of receiving happiness beyond teaching, and I teach them to others when I can...' Samsil says 'indeed there are countless ways to receive happiness' Samsil says 'what do you find joy in?' You say 'I find joy in the worship of my Mistress, and the bringing of those around me to her altar.' Samsil says 'whom is your Mistress?' You say 'I also find joy in the practice of her craft.' You say 'Ashtora'Ultrin, Daughter of the Third Tier.' Samsil says 'I am not Farmiliar with her' You say 'She is the Ruler of the Six Keepers. I am a follower of the first Keeper, Koa'Khan Llath'Velara the Seductress of Light and Dark' You say 'Although I am afraid I have had little time for pleasure lately.' Samsil adjusts the bandages on his hands. (ME) sighs. You say 'You people seem so caught up in wars and battles, unable to experience your desires.' Samsil says 'following your path does not give you pleasure?' Samsil says 'bah, I am a man of peace' Samsil says 'not once have I held a tool of war' Samsil adjusts the bandages on his hands. (ME) taps her teeth. You say 'I'll admit that not all fight, but you still wage a war of sorts.' Samsil says 'perhaps, but don't we all in some form or another?' Samsil adjusts the bandages on his hands. You say 'I suppose.' Samsil says 'as ironic as it sounds, I wage war on violence and suffering' Samsil adjusts the bandages on his hands. You say 'How would you know peace without violence or suffering?' Samsil says 'peace is not the opposite of Violence' Samsil adjusts the bandages on his hands. Samsil says 'its the absences of Violence' Samsil says 'I would still know peace with no violence' Samsil says 'I may not know it as peace, but as a way of life, but I would still know it' (ME) taps her teeth. You say 'Let me ask you this: why are the servants good?' Samsil says 'depends whom you ask' Samsil adjusts the bandages on his hands. Samsil says 'if you ask why I think they are, It would be because they fight suffering' Samsil says 'we promote kindness and faith in the light' Samsil says 'and we frown upon violence' You say 'I am of the dark, and I promote no suffering...' Samsil says 'who says you are of the dark?' Samsil says 'what do you promote?' You say 'I promote the Six Essences of Ashtora: Lust, Anger, Beauty, Chaos, Vanity, and Greed.' You say 'My order follows lust.' Samsil adjusts the bandages on his hands. Samsil says 'what do you lust for?' Samsil adjusts the bandages on his hands. You say 'You, until I got a nasty surprise.' (ME) mutters something about braided circlets. Samsil says 'nasty?' Samsil says 'how so?' (ME) sighs. Samsil adjusts the bandages on his hands. You say 'Have you never experienced the true joy of a fulfilled desire?' Samsil says 'indeed I have' You say 'The elves call us evil, talking of dark rituals and evil orgies.' Samsil adjusts the bandages on his hands. Samsil says 'people fear what they don't understand' (ME) taps her teeth. You nod. You say 'They would not be so quick to condemn it if they had experienced it themselves.' Samsil says 'experience what?' Samsil adjusts the bandages on his hands. Samsil slowly removes the bandages from his hands, cringing slightly Samsil pours some water upon his hands, cleaning them. Samsil slowly wraps his hands in new bandages with trained skill. Samsil adjusts the bandages on his hands. You say 'The true pleasure of the darkness - one that requires no outside influences.' Samsil adjusts the bandages on his hands. You shrug. Samsil says 'I am not sure I follow..' You say 'Ah well. Perhaps one of the light may experience the same, but I doubt it.' Samsil says 'what does one do to experience it?' (ME) smiles slightly. You say 'If you wish to truly experience it, you must attend the Solstice. The next one occurs in two years, on the 31st of the Month of Ancient Darkness.' Samsil adjusts the bandages on his hands. Samsil closes its eyes and hums for an instant. Samsil says 'and what happens during these Solstice's?' Samsil adjusts the bandages on his hands. You say 'You would most likely have sex with me, or perhaps one of the Koa'Khin themselves. It is different in the Solstice.' Samsil raises an eyebrow. You sigh. You say 'I fear I must leave.' Samsil adjusts the bandages on his hands. You say 'I sense that at least you are willing to hear about other things.' Samsil says 'well, was nice speaking with you' You say 'Maybe we will speak again.' You nod. Samsil says 'indeed' You raise an eyebrow at the notion. You say 'Same to you.' Samsil bows deeply. You nod.
Dawn healer vs. drow shaman - I know, I took my name out, mostly because
I don't want everyone knowing my wacked-out religion. Besides, the other
guy looks good in this log anyway, so quit complaining.
Samsil looks at you.
The healer says 'You aren't allowed in there!'
useless scoundrels that roam these lands. His hands are wrapped in rough cloth, serving as gloves
of some sort. Both scraps seem to be encrusted with a dull-red stain at its center. Small encrusted
veins of red speak of repeated bleedings, as if his hands held wounds that never healed.
Yet his eyes tell of otherwise, steady and full of life, like rich blue pinpoints in a sea of troubles.
His face lends itself to this remarkable contradiction, unmarred and unsullied, kept to the finest of
perfection. Though bent in figure, he nevertheless exudes some curious warmness, a comforting
calm that is so unlike the other scoundrels that would rob a man at a moment's notice. Almost as
if an angel of peace had placed his righteous hands upon his forehead and bid him bring hope to
the downtrodden..
Samsil, a sexless human, is in perfect health.

Cherileus yells 'Help! I am being attacked by an eagle!' ***hehehe***
Samsil adjusts the bandages on his hands.
Cherileus yells 'Help! I am being attacked by an eagle!'
Cebony yells 'stop'
Cherileus yells 'Help! I am being attacked by an eagle!'
Cebony yells 'stop'
Cherileus yells 'Help! I am being attacked by an eagle!'
Samsil says 'be well (ME)'
Samsil closes its eyes for a moment and nods at you.
Samsil closes its eyes for a moment and nods at you.
Samsil stretches out its hand and places it upon your head.
You feel righteous.
