Charmies are the best thing to use, but since you're joining battle this isn't an available option? Why are they best? People can't come in and kill them and take your gold cause they're protected. So, from start to finish, this is what I'd do. First, get a lot of gold. I'd say rank as much as you can on travelers and merchants on forest road, and hit the travelling merchants south of New Thalos a couple times. Once you have about 10-15000 gold you'll be in good shape. Next, find a sleeping mob, preferably one that is in a more remote location than Camelot or Balator(not that dioxide's ideas won't work) because you'll probably have ranking parties there and they'll kill the guard and may get all of your gold. The sleeping human soldier in Udgaard may work, as well as the perhaps the napping guards in Lord Tabershaw's keep. Just give the mob all of your gold and spam "steal gold (mob)" and within no-time it'll be perfected, especially if you're an arial.
