Goodbyes (sorry to those of you who have no idea who I am/don't care) (very VERY long):

I was kind of sorry to delete him, but he was way past due. He was close to autodeleting, and I'm fairly certain to death of old age as well. (something like 490hrs) Overall, I had fun with this character, but I see him as a disappointment in many respects. Time after time, he was passed over for distinction as a result of my own sabotage, as well as some bad luck.

Soooo... first off, apologies:
Sorry to BT and Holtz for letting you down on numerous occasions.
Sorry to Battle for not being there now and for the past month or so, when you "needed" me most. (Although Battle is strong, I think it needs role-models now more than ever.)
Sorry to Syranne for deleting when I promised (albeit a while ago) that I never would. (deleting, by the way, was bad roleplaying on my part, but it just wasn't any fun anymore... and that's what this is about: fun.)
Feel free to point out any more necessary apologies.

To Thorrnaere's friends:
Forgive me if I forget anyone; if I do, it's simply because I haven't played him in so long.
Cylandrex: You were one of thorrnaere's first friends... we drifted apart after we were inducted into our respective cabals, and I'm truly sorry for that. Had a good time running around with you early on.
Creities: I was dissappointed that you gave up so early, but it was nice having you around to talk to anyways.
Syranne: I'm fairly certain you were the only one to make me/Thorrnaere laugh out loud on a consistent basis. It was just always a blast running around with you. You never seemed to mind dying (I can't imagine the holes you must've been in). Bah... I'll miss ya.
Azrelin: Hey... you were one of my earliest friends in Battle. Never knew exactly what happened to you, but I respected you a great deal and knew that I could always come to you for advice.
Kaerk: Sweet Jesus! I can't believe you've been around for so long! I must say, I'm impressed. I hope you make another Rager... Battle needs you desperately at the moment. Geez... I'm gonna miss your little svirf butt. :P Honestly, there should be a little Kaerk fountain in blood square.
Cherendi: Never heard from you after you became a Dawnie, but I always respected you a great deal. That duel in the Inn was sort of unfair... I had resist and deathblow, you were just using raw skills. It's a shame you didn't show more often.
Revin: Geez... we sure as HELL could use someone like you these days. Your roleplay shamed us all. You were probably the reason I joined Battle in the first place... I doubt I can convey just how cool I thought your char was. Anyways...
Denorem: You were a great Rager. You always ran to defend, and would face death readily. You're another rager who's dedication made the rest of us feel like crap.
Anarion: Always thought of you as a little brother (sorry 'bout that). I felt bad when I saw that you were disheartened and was pretty protective of you... don't know whether or not it showed.
Daerkshyn & Haugein: Hey... we ran around together all the time. We were quite similar in many respects I think, Daerk. Then again, it would seem that you're still around. Haugein, I knew you from when we were both starting out, when you attacked me on the battlements in Galadon.
Thror: You were incredible in so many respects. Honestly, I didn't see it when we were both young'uns, but once you became leader, you were impressive in so many different respects. You became sort of a father-figure/role model to Thorrnaere. I can't tell you how ashamed and unworthy it made me feel whenever you would attempt to motivate me through complements and all that. But motivate me you did... Anyways, your Thror was by far one of the most colorful, interesting, and well-rp'ed chars I've ever seen on CF. Plus, you could kick ass! Sheesh!
Athrakagar: Thanks for inducting me, and taking the time to listen to my story. While I never got to know you too well, your ability to rile all of us up and kick ass never seemed to amaze me. You always reminded me of Bizarro (is that is name?) the way you talked and all. :P Anyways, Thorrnaere respected you a great deal (as did I) and truly grieved when you had to leave. That was a damned shame.
Others: Camille, Terumah, Byvarn, Alhfor, Gesslin, Rotarlo, Gheistdan, Symms, Kaaterskrill, Lynxaria, Daedric, Kronin, Gouin, Maedhras, Qohr, Solaria, Crenshawn, Aliuyud, (sorry if I forgot anyone)

Christ, this is long...

Immortals: Thanks to BT and Holtz for injecting new life into Battle and making life as a rager enjoyable once more.
Sorry for mouthing off to whoever that was when I was stalking Gathen in NT... I thought you were Elandren, not an Immortal.
Overall, I'm sorry that I was unable to interact with all of you more, though I'm sure I had enough opportunities...

Enemies:
Raag: You really, REALLY kicked ass. I mean, until I figured out assassinate, I couldn't even touch you. Even then, it took me a while to figure out a way around that frickin' mask. I doubt I ever came close to beating you in a fight. Again, you really REALLY kicked ass.
Kadsuane: I really enjoyed the back and forth we had... I'm pretty sure I never killed you on my own, and I'm pretty sure the same was true for you. I always knew I was in for a good time when I logged on to see that you were in the realms.
Vuitleur: You were a fucking pain in the ASS! I don't think anyone ever frustrated Thorrnaere so much as you. Though you never managed to kill me, but I'm pretty sure you sent me running with my tail tucked between my legs five or six times. Those extra two points of dex must really make a difference... Anyways, I never interacted with you much, but you definitely could kick some ass.
Altrinza: God damnit... you must've killed me with that farkin immolate three or four times, and I kept farkin' commin' back. Hey... I guess I'm just a sucker for a lover's caresse. *smirk*
Zhaeliyn: Never really talked to you, or any masters now that I think about it, but it was fun fighting you and all that.
Draktha, Oroxazrian, and Golmagus: I always felt like you all should have kicked my ass more. *shrug* Oroxazrian did kill me a couple times I believe... once, my link booted me in the Tower, the other time you and your undead pals mopped the floor of the Void with my furry butt.
Chaszmyr: Hope you were sphere deception... It's either that or your character was REALLY inconsistent. I outfitted you on a regular basis anyways. (no hard feelings, yeh?)
Aioti: A memorable fight near Modan, and an interesting conversation afterwards.
Sorry again if I forgot anyone...

This was Thorrnaere's story. (pretty rough around the edges, but I touched it up as I told parts of it to others)

Greetings, Brothers and Sisters of the Village

I hail from the city of Vrraathk, far across the Aryth ocean, far to the east of Arkham. Four years ago, a scout, under the employ of the Empire, arrived in the city and demanded to speak with the War Chief. The Imperial scout demanded, on behalf of the Emperor, that the Chief accept the rule of the Emperor, and become a tributary of the Empire. In response, the War Chief slew the foul man where he stood. A week later, a legion of Imperials arrived at Vrraathk. They slew each of the aged male felar, and enslaved the youthful ones. I will not speak of what they did with our mothers and sisters.
I was taken, with my brother Draagthakaar, to an Imperial camp south of the Citadel where we were to serve the serve the Emperor, expanding the roads. We worked, and slept in shackles. Living as a slave, I saw many others whose fates, up until that point, were similar to mine, their spirits long since broken. I know not why, but I persevered. One morning, I awoke to find that my brother had escaped, a discarded axe-head lying near his broken chains. Before I could make good my own escape, the overseer snatched away the axe-head and beat me until I lost consciousness.
One night, several weeks later, I awoke while the moon shone bright in the sky to see the face of my brother hovering over me. Using a thing sliver of metal, he began to free me of my shackles. As he worked, he whispered to me of his intentions: to murder the Emperor as he slept. Suddenly, the overseer burst into the slave house, and seeing my brother, called for the guards. In seconds, the overseer lay on his back, clutching at his throat as his lifeblood collected in a small pool beneath his head. Looking around, I saw that my brother was gone. Though my legs were still bound in shackles, I managed to hobble down the road and into the safety of New Thalos.
Weeks later, I enlisted in the Modanian army, which was at that time warring with the Empire. One night while patrolling the forests north of Modan, my battalion came across a large group of Imperials, outnumbering us at least three to one. We began to retreat back to the city, but our commanding officer ordered us to attack. And attack we did. Most of my comrades were falling quickly. I looked 'round wildly for my commanding officer, awaiting the order to retreat, but I could not see him among the fray. Finally, heavily wounded, barely able to walk, able to fight no more, I fled into the forests and hid. Watching the last of my comrades fall to swarms of Imperials was one of the most difficult things I've ever had to witness. I returned to the site of the battle later that evening so that I might bury my fallen friends. Upon arriving, I saw a lone figure standing among the corpses. It was my commanding officer. His arms were thrust into the sky as he muttered something unintelligible. A soft green aura began to form around him, growing brighter as the sound of his voice grew. Suddenly, the aura flared and began to encompass the corpses that lay on the ground. I heard moaning then, its origins ambiguous to me. Then, to my horror, the corpses of my fallen friends began to arise and shamble towards the man who had led them to their deaths. He stopped his mutterings and pointed north towards the Aryth ocean, and his legion shambled off into the forests. Uttering another incantation, he vanished, though I heard the sounds of his passage through the forest, after his band of undead.

Wow... that was really waaaaay too long. If at all possible, I'd like any criticisms/comments about the char... I realize he was pretty mediocre... (my first battle char)

Fight well, Battle... and may the ground run red with the blood of our enemies!

-Thorrnaere kar Vrraathk
