Oddly enough, this one included. Carrion Fields is a roleplaying MUD that incorporates pkilling. As in, you should pkill but ONLY within the bounds of roleplaying. All you actions for the entire life of the character, all your decisions, SHOULD be based on roleplaying. With 95% of the playerbase, they're not, but we can hope. Perhaps you disagree with this, but people NOT basing their character's actions/decisions/whatever on roleplaying is what is dragging the mud down the most, in my opinion. Yes, there are roles for those who want indiscriminant killing. Yes, I feel it is unfortunate that 9 out of 10 times, those "roles" are played by people who don't really care for the role, they just want to kill. I know there are other people I could point at, but again I'm going to use Istendil since he's possibly the most well-known example I could use. Istendil killed disgusting amounts of people, but nobody could concievably call him a "mindless pkiller" because he did it within his role, and he did it within the bounds of roleplaying. Now take the umpteen thousand Air Majors flying around. I'd say 99% of those just wanted to be able to kill, and then worked a role around that to give them an excuse. Perhaps I am a little biased. Yes, I can sit for hours and just roleplay, no killing needed. Yes, I can kill. I may not be one of the uber-elite that can slaughter entire pk-ranges with a mere whim, but then again... perhaps thats because I don't chose to extend my efforts in that direction. The whole point behind this response was to ask you, Arolin, to get a grip on your seemingly childish impulses and tendencies. Your posts never boil down to anything more than: "I'm the greatest. Bow down to me, morons. You all suck if you don't agree with me, so go away. Pleasing me is the reason Carrion Fields exists and, one more time, you all suck."
