As far as differences are concerned, there is none. If you spec in one of the two you get both by default. Specs-(I may forget a few) Sword- MUST dual wield for all but 2 skills Staff/Spear- flail/whip- mace Never had a polearm, dagger, or axe spec...sorry. Vex
Althought with staff/spear, some skills can only be done with a spear and others only with a staff...
flourintine-parry with dual wielded weapon, nice defense
cross-down parry-like a kick but stronger, opponent has to be weilding a weapon
jab-quick and dirty move, doesn't do the greatest of damage, hits often
double thrust-strike your foe with both swords at once, nice damage.
riposte-sometimes when you parry a blow, you counter with an unblockable strike
flurry-costs move, swing your swords like a madman, can do really nice damage
spin-spins staff defensively
leverage-like a kick, but better
misdirection-staff only, sorta like pugil, can stun a bit, actually hits
crescent-nice damage attack with spear only
impale-Spear only, fantastic damage and causes bleeding
(Hmm, am I missing one?)
strip-attempts to remove weapon from foe (dont have to be in battle)
choke-attempts to knock foe out
eyejab-hit foe with handle of whip/flail. Long lasting blindness
entwine(?)-use lose of weapon for a bit, opponent can't flee
pull-pulls a person along with you
backhand-hard to block, ok damage, a lot like jab
shield disarm(?)-not the right name but it attempts to disarm a shield, doesn't really work much
dent(?)-also the wrong name, I haven't been a mace spec in a bit,dents a foes armor, useless
boneshatter-great damage, makes foes lose str
drum-like a flurry, set number of attacks, good damage
