What is the deal with Empire?

Two days ago, we were talking about how they
will need to rebuild, and now in one a short
time, they pretty much did.

Agorinth was anathema is now the Emperor
Nastrael was anathema is now the High Priest.

I don't know all the facts, but I'm pretty
pissed off. It looks like to me Tur cleaned
house, and we are seeing some of the results
of the quick rebuilding process. Before I
start jumping to conclusions, if anyone can
share what happened I'd like to hear it.
