Certian mobs with comman names are in no summon areas. For example, you may want to summon some mist for a pass door potion but if you try c summon mist, you will get a mist somewhere like Bavoria swamp which is unsummonable. You need to figure out with mobs you need, i.e. c summon 2.mist and work your way up.

Finally,

Higher level mobs are a lot harder to summon

That eliminates more than half the stuff on CF. Also remember the obvious stuff like Tarus and half-elven merchant will often be taken.
