I have once tired to become an arbiter myself.
I will not go into the details, but I was told
that I am not ready to become one. The screening
was very strict, but I believe that is make
sure that only people who are ready become
arbiters. Because if they just made everyone
who wanted to become an arbiter an arbiter, there
would a lot more corrupt people running around.
And I"m sure that's what they are trying to avoid
One thing I did learn from the interviews was
that not all the arbiters are there to be
helpful. There are those that believe the law
is to be followed strictly to the letter, even when
I believe that it may be nicer to do other wise.
But the law is the law, and they follow it with
no exceptions. The arbiter are there to serve
the law and not the people, and it think that is
why people are uppset at the arbiters all the
time. But I think the arbiters are suppose
to be there for the people, and maybe that is
why I was not able to become and arbiter. No
matter what the reasons are that I was not
able to become an arbiter I respect their
judgements. Since I believe they have been
around since the beginning of thera and would
know what type of people is best to be arbiters.
The point is if you think it's so easy to be
an arbiter why don't you all just give it a
try. Maybe you'll find some new respect for
them. So you can stop complain and start
changing things and make things right, as I
have tried to do.
Sincerly,
Raythgar
