Hopefully it's changed from what it used to be, I decided to try another arbiter a few months back and I got the worst interview ever. Most of it involved defining chaos and justification of going against it... I then got sent on some lame quest and scrapped the char (which I had decided to do during the interview). I think you gave him the galadon quiz and hit every location in like 5 secs, remember him :) Either way... it's sort of a thankless job sometimes, which should be kept in mind when choosing lords who interview badly. I have no idea about the current ones, hopefully they can turn the cabal around.

> Given the details listed here, the only interview this could be describing is Raythgar's. You must therefore be Raythgar's friend; Raythgar already followed up in this thread, so you obviously couldn't be him, right?

> For those who are interested in the details, this was the third time someone has spoken to Raythgar -- my second time. He did not do well the first time we spoke, and I brought in Octavia both to assess her interviewing skills and to get another take on the applicant. I watched the entire interview, and concurred with her opinion that Raythgar was not ready to join the Arbiters.

> After being told this, Raythgar proceeded to *argue* with me, telling me that since the situations he'd been presented with were all judgement ones, and since he had made a judgement in every case (wrong, but a judgement nonetheless) he should be allowed to join the cabal. After all, his views were as valid as mine or anyone else's, right?

> Now, I've interviewed a lot of people. A LOT of people. I certainly don't expect an applicant to bring me the Equation single-handed, or to know they way around Seatryn Modan blindfolded (Galadon, maybe...) but I *do* expect that they will have a basic understanding of the Laws (which are, after all, right there in a HELP file), demonstrate the ability to apply the Laws to specific circumstances, and respect the hierarchical structure of the cabal. This ain't Empire, but it ain't Troupe either. There is Order within the cabal, and those who can't stand that need not apply. Personally, I don't feel that this is too much to ask. Obviously, some folk disagree with me.

> Mmm-hmm. Yup. Right. Know how many times a day I get called 'corrupt' even now that I'm an Avatar? Know how many times it happened when I was mortal? Invariably, it was/is because someone wants me to place/remove a flag and I don't. Put up or shut up; names, times, situations, etc. Trust me -- they get looked into, even if you don't like the results.
