I admit that I got a bit impatient while trying to master all those spells and all, but it payed off and it was the funnest character I have ever played... One could argue that a muter is boring until they get their forms (which is true for the most part) but when they finally do get their forms its worth it, isn't it? Look at invokers the same way... You always have something to look forward to, and when you finally get the last of your spells, you will be one of the most powerful characters in the game, excluding liches of course. > > Just my take on things. > I think the point is that it's really frustrating to practice all these useless spells solely to get your next spell. Sitting there practicing avalanche or whatever really -sucks-, and it's not fun at all, and it's a bigger commitment of time to an un-fun activity than anything else on the mud, except for maybe master fire aps. The new trend towards having to perfect everything really sucks. Some people would like to just play and have fun without being a "power player" who spends 40 hours perfecting stuff.
