I do not usually talk to people after I kill them because I generally play the quiet evil killer types. I am for the most part always Empire. So if someone asks me why I attacked them, they get the standard answers. It just isn't practicial to try and discuss to a warder why civilizied rule is better. One reason has to do with roleplay restrictions played on us. Unlike real life, a person cannot change their basic views of life as they get older. For example, there are cases in real-life where killers have converted into peace-loving preachers and vs. verus. You cannot do this in CF because you pretty much lose everything you are work hard for (100+ hrs). Yeah, you can pray to some immortal about getting your powers back, but nine times out of ten it will not happen. So if I want to try and talk to an elf invoker and tell them the Empire has more to offer. The player behind the elf is going to say....yeah right....I just spent 200 hours mastering all my spells. He will be damned if he will throw all that away. It is equally as hard for a warder to try and convert a necromancer. For one, a necromancer will never be given a chance to join warders. The only thing you can offer him is to give up all his spells and convert to neutral alignment in exchange for no longer dying. Most would rather die 50 times rather than having some useless character that can do nothing.

This is the main reason why I see little point in talking to other players why they died. It is a sacrifice we pay though for playing a game. The immortals really cannot change it or you will have people jumping ship every chance they get. Much like they do when their cabal does not have its item.

Finally, you also got to realize a lot of people that play this game only play it for the pking. Roleplaying is only a tool they use to get more powers. This will never change. Sad...but it is true.
