Mark of the prey isn't such a bad skill, though it's a matter of personal opinion.
Some people I know don't bother to learn it, but it comes in handy sometimes.

You mark your prey, so basically any time you are in the same room as them, even
if you can't see them under normal circumstances, you will see them present with
a (Marked) flag. That's all from the help file. Plus there is also another skill
assassins have for which you have to "mark" your prey first..

It not a critical skill unless you're the type of person who likes to hunt and
take your time, or if you hunt someone with unique abilities, or if you combine
it with the other assassin skill, it's decent. Certainly more useful at higher ranks.
