I really do think this i an excellent idea as well. It would make the game seem more realistic. But i dont think the horses should fight. And to make it more interesting make it where before you can fight you have to dismount the horse. And if you are on the horse when you are attacked you have to dismount, or make somehting where you can "bash horse" or "trip horse" and it knocks the rider off. And for thieves where if you are on the horse you cannot be backstabbed or ambushed. Make it where you can buy the horses acording to level like the mercenary guild, and have them in stables like stated above. This would create and entirely new aspect to the game and greatly interest me more in the game, and maybe possibly others as well (that are getting bored with the game too). A very good idea...
