First of all, I think the power that they have currently is a good indication of how most people feel about the nature-magic war. While a lot of their strength came from good leadership (tip Thror) there have been leaders of comperable ability in the past (Ghim, Abernyte) but not this great swell in applicants.

I do think that the current entry requirements might not be a good thing for the Cabal, however. True, the past has shown that having subordinates interview applicants is a good thing, like Veterans and Marshall Knights, REQUIRING that they MUST have three good reccommendations before the leader will even speak to them might be too many "hoops" for applicants to jump through. The weakness of the Scarabs and, until very recently, Masters is proof of this.

Ironically now you have to practice more and spend more time to be a Battlerager than an Master. With the lure of a new mage class and all this tedious practicing and interviewing required for a Battlerager character in contrast to easier Master requirements, they may be in for a fall soon.
