> Do they add ANYTHING to the game? Yes, they keep you on your toes when you are out in the open. >Yes, I know they have weaknesses, yes I know they can be beaten, but they seem to take so much fun out of the game. Not only do they have weaknesses, they have a lot of them. It's fairly easy to beat one if you are prepared, and they aren't overly so. The problem many people face is that they are fighting air forms in the hands of very good players. Take my eagle for instance, I have a slow link, am naked, and die two times every hour when I log on. No one is afraid of me. My character isn't overpowered by anyones standards. It's when you get someone who's got shields and barriers up, has someone spell them up with bard songs and invoker shields, THEN goes hunting that you run into trouble. Then again, a healer will kick your ass if you arn't ready for him. >I can't explore like I want to, or try to get things that are difficult. Why? Very few of the harder areas are accessable to airforms. None of the past is, none of the underwater is (with some exceptions), most of the far reaches of thera also aren't open for airforms. They can't go everywhere. > Heaven forbid my health gets below 50%, because that's when the damn bird swoops in. Can some changes be implemented? I think they are well balanced as they are now. > I mean, many don't leave their cabal now, they just sit around because there are about 5 birds flying at any one time. Wait, you're saying that they're overpowered, yet most are too scared to leave there cabals? You aren't being consistant. >Perhaps make the mental drain for forming into a bird greater. I mean, these critters go up, and stay up for obscene amounts of time. Or just get rid of the damn things. I don't mind the dying, but I do mind the fact that they seem to be hurting peoples freedom. Oh come on now. That's like saying the warders are making it hard to kill in forests, or that the arbiters are hindering your fun in towns. Necros are making your life difficult because everytime you step onto eastern you're slept. Maybe you should ask the wizard in galadon if he needs an errand boy, you don't seem to be adventurer material. >They're simply pests, they take little or no skill, and their powers are unbelievable. They take more skill than you might think. Roll one up and try to kill someone of note. You'll find that they tear you a new one very fast. >I don't want to have to hide out and wait til i'm ready to face a damn bird, I want to explore Thera, interact face to face with people. It's always someone or another who's oppressing people in Thera. For me, it was always Leirin. I NEVER went out ranking if I saw him and Hazak (SP?.. been a while) in the realms at the same time. Before them, I'd run for cover if Istendil was about. Before him I was too dumb to run. > You can't even do that inside, because it seems the damn birds can fly anywhere. In houses, in caves, everywhere. Rant finished. Falcons are a little more flexible than the eagles it seems, they can't fly everywhere though. Just have to look more. One piece of advice, from months of fighting Matraien, if you're in galadon and you see a bird in the sky, take to the sewers. ...Rome...
