I was grouped with a 30 level conjure. Doing the battlefield and gaining quite well. Suddenly his Angel casts PILLAR on the everything in site. This encluded the group. I mean, a 30 level char with a mob that cast PILLAR, that just gotta be considred overpowered

Is it just me ?

> > Have we all not noticed yet that conjurers are a bit overpowered? I am in the mid 20's and was fully prepped to take on this guy, and he comes and does damage that I expect from heroes? I mean seriously what the fuck is up with that class? And no exp penalty??

> Conjies look to be designed to be strong offensively, but die lots and lots. And die in messy ways that result in experience loss. A level 25 conjuror with an elemental in tow is *much* less dangerous than a level 25 necro with an elite storm giant zombie in tow.

> Two main reasons:
> 1) Elementals do MANGLES and ***DEMs, but are low-level mobs and can thus be parried/dodged/etc by a decent tank of similar rank. An elite storm zombie does MANGLES and ***DEMs and is a mid-50s mob, which means that it's basically impossible for a mid-20s player to tank it at all.
> 2) Conjurers are limited in their personal abilities... they can blind you with flash, magic missile you... umm... faerie fire you. And beat on you with their mighty enhanced-damage-less axe. A necromancer, in the meantime, can do a dozen ugly things while his charmie's doing ***DEMs.

> Saying a conjurer is overpowered because their summoned mobs hit hard is like saying a necro is overpowered because their zombies hit too hard. Both are false, and in fact the former is much moreso than the latter.
