Heh, at least MY imperial will run around fighting people alone. And to everybody who defends conjurers with the argument that "the imms tested them long and hard and you just have to find out their weakneses...." let me remind you of commune 'damnation' xxx, commune 'aristaeia' xxx.... nobody's perfect

> I'm an equal opportunity asshole, so I'll hit all the points which disgust me right now. Not meant to be a whine, but it will surely be taken as such. In some cases, I might offer solutions, in some, I don't. I'm sure I'll get flamed by lots of people, but these topics are on the minds of many, and I'm hoping to perhaps put them all together in a caustic little post, and see what kind of response I get, from both mortals and Immortals. Don't hold back in your responses, my feelings won't get hurt.

> It's clear that this is the case, any moron can see that. I've not fought one, but I've seen logs and I've seen them in action. Surely the Immortals are toning down as they see them being overpowered in certain ways. Well, after their mortal conjurers beat the hell out of some folks with it, at least. Maybe we'll see a "quest angel" who does two pillar-unspeaks a round instead of one before they get toned down. Why the hell not, if you're going to insta-die, might as well make it quicker. My point? There's no easy way to tell what's going to be overpowered or underpowered when it goes in.. but c'mon folks, surely this should've been realized before they went in and disgusted everyone. To everyone who saw their ridiculous overpoweredness and ran to roll one up/power-level them, you're a fucking weak-ass sheep. Conjurers sprouting up in the 40s, who weren't even in the initial rolling craze, who are taking advantage of sick mobs to rank them to hero in a matter of hours.. you should be ashamed of yourselves.

> There were like 30 on the other evening. Is it fun to run around in Nazi-death-squad groups of ten and kill the one or two people who actually are around? Is that challenging to you all? I don't know about you all, but I play this game to be challenged, both in roleplaying and in fighting situations. Empire is the evil dumbfuck cabal, but there's talented players playing it all the time. Why? Are the prospects of gangbanging and running up the pklist that enticing? Or is it just that you know that you'll never really have to chance dying, or expected to quit out when odds are against you, to come back when they are in your favor? No offense, but that's CHEATING, and it's completely part of Empire ideology and acceptable from what I've seen. Empire's don't even have the balls to show up for an even-odds raid, for christ's sake. What fucking fun is it to play a character who doesn't take chances, never fights when there's a chance he'll lose, actually might get into trouble for doing so? Goddamn, are you people so fucking weak that you can't take a challenge? Empire as a cabal just doesn't work.. the way it is intended, it might, with the sects not helping each other, them warring with *everyone*, not just convenient selection of cabals that won't beat their ass into the ground. I don't know if the Empire Immortals just aren't around enough to watch over them (in which case, someone who *is* around enough should be in charge), just have no idea how it's supposed to be run (in which case, someone who doesn't have their head up their ass should be in charge) or if they just don't care. Tureanthen uninducted everyone (which was needed) then turned around and a week later the same stupid fucks who were the problem are back inducted or worse, sect leaders. He (Tur) promised things would be different regarding sect helping, weak people being anathema, and so forth. Many doubted him publicly, I personally hoped he wasn't just talking out of his ass.. but he clearly was. Maybe he's busy irl and hasn't had the time to watch them like he said he would. But, goddamn, for the Empire cabal to work the way it's intended to, with high turnover, etc, you HAVE to have an Imm in charge of the cabal who's around and is heartless. Someone like Cador or Sebeok.. a real bastard.

> Next point. What happened to ass-kicking Sylvans who were around the 40th rank?
> Tarek, Kifar, Vashrak, Ellamandaria.. you all still alive, or are you busy playing your conjurers or Imperials? I figured you started disappearing for a while because there wasn't much competition anymore, but there's certainly some now for you. If you're playing masters or empires or conjurers or whatever, that's really fucking pathetic. Good players should pick challenging roles. You all did that, but seem to now have abandoned them. That's disgusting to me. If real life has taken precedence and you're not playing at all for that reason, then I apologize.. but if you're busy with other characters in Empire, or conjurers or something similar, that's really weak.

>
> Last point. Masters.
> I started out playing.. 5 years ago, maybe. Back then, if you heard someone was a Master, you were like "Wow, a Master.. He must be awesome!". Now? Now, being a Master means you spam spells (well, up until a couple weeks ago) real good, and you bugged the shit out of the leader enough that he finally got tired of listening to you and inducted you. I see the Master cabal as being an elite group of mages, the best mages in Thera, learning new Magics, being kept as a small group like they were in the olden days. Like.. 30 or so members, with 4 or 5 on at most at once. Like current Sylvan, except with a few more members. Being a "Master" should actually mean you're a great mage. From what I've seen in the past year, through a Master of my own, fighting them, logs, whatever.. it means jack shit to be a Master. The Master cabal has become a glorified Arcane sect. That's weak.
