The reason p is practice instead or put is in
the command tables. they are put in alphabetical
order. so it reads the command a character at a
time and goes down the list till it gets to
something that matches.. take the dispel spells
for instance... can't type "c dispel" well I
guess you can now but that's why you have to
type co for commune...instead of the plain c.
this doesn't really make a whole lot of sense
but it's deep in the code...no real reason for it.
