However, that being said, it wouldn't hurt to talk to as many villagers as you can. All ranks, sizes, races, colors, and different hat preferences included. Sure, a Veteran supporting you is nice, but throw in half the Battle cabal and you'll probably have a fairly quick interview, or a least be a bit ahead of the game.
