In my normal bored state, I thought I might suggest a few new transmuter forms just to make things a little more interesting. After all, it doesn’t seem that adding a form is all too difficult, so this would be a minor job, and it would make transmuters all the more interesting, as it would be a far less common occurance to meet someone who had the same form as you.

I put most of my focus on minor forms, as they are the most common type, and also have a lesser number of forms than major ones.

Offense Major:

Bear: Since druids lost it, some mage might have studied and learned how to transform into this. Could be exactly the same as druids form (bonus hp’s and special attack, poor defense though)

Elephant: Big beast, very similar to the ram though. Has a double goring attack with it’s tusks, and resists damage due to it’s thick skin. Can’t dodge or parry to save it’s life.

Cobra: A fairly proficient fighter (fights like a wolf), the cobra also possesses an extremely powerful bite. Like the rattlesnake, the cobra’s special bite can often kill a foe if left untreated.

Offense Minor

Lynx: The lynx is a sturdy form, having similar attacks and damage as a wolf, but dodging less. The lack of dodging is balanced by a slight resistance to damage.

Rattlesnake: The rattlesnake form is the weakest fighter of all the offensive forms, having only one attack a round, and behaving defensively similar to the boar. The snake, though, would have a powerful special poisonous bite that could do extensive damage to foes in a relatively short time (Read: will kill most people if not treated in some way).

Defense Major

None: Got most of the bases covered here.

Defense Minor

Skunk: Dodges well, fights similar to a cat (perhaps a little weaker), and has a speical defense that whenever attacked it sprays it’s victim causing everyone in the room to cough and gag (restricting ability to attack, cast spells, eat, or do special combat moves).

Utility Major

Snail: The giant snail form would leave a sticky trail behind it, that would act similar to quicksand. The snail also would be tough to hurt (similar to a turtle). Moving as the snail would put a delay after every step however. Finally, the snail could withdraw into it's shell, making it impossible to attack, but preventing it from seeing the world outside of the room (no where, who, whois, or whatnot).

Utility Minor

Rat: The sneaky rat can sneak and hide in cities, and has a special disease ridden bite (giving plague to the victim). The cat also can smell carrion from anywhere in the area, and can instictively runto it if in a city. The rat fights a little worse than the cat.

Spider: The spider form would be able to weave a web in a room, in essence creating a snare trap. It would also have a poisonous bite, though not as powerful as the rattlesnake. The spider wouldn’t be a great fighter, but would be able to dodge effectively.

Water Major

Kraken: The giant squid. This form has a grappling attack similar to a whip specialists ability to entwine their foes. The kraken would fight similar to a lion (good attacks, poor defense), but have modest resistance.

Water Minor

Electric eel: The eel can latch onto a foe and be dragged along with him wherever the foe would flee too (baring magic transport). Everyone in combat with the eel would suffer moderate electric damage each round (mutilates or so).

Piranha: The piranha has a special biting attack that causes cumulative bleeding/weakening affects in the victim. They dodge very well, and have one attack a round.

Air Major

Vulture: The vulture would fight like a hawk, dodging slightly better. It would have the special ability to smell corpses from up in the air, and be able to fly directly to them. The vulture would also use very few moves while flying, much like the albatross, but still move like an air major.

Air Minor

Owl: The owl form would sneak, be able to hear the cries of others from the air, and fight midway between a hawk and albatross.
