All the time Immortals use to watch cabals and how they work could be spent watching people. Take away most of the cabal powers, and instead give them as powers to individuals who demonstrate their ability to roleplay well. That way all the spells/skills/powers that have been coded would not go to waste, but instead would go to individuals. And some powers just should not be given at all, as they are unbalancing, unfair, etc. Cabals were intended to reward roleplay. They no longer truly do that, instead it has become the norm to join a cabal. Give each cabal one or two powers, and reward individuals with powers they earn through excellent roleplay. As it is now, I am forced to agree with the original poster in this thread.
