So you get people who speaks the way _you_ find suitable, so what? They are still shallow, boring, mindless wandering people who doesn't know what the heck they are doing in Thera.
It's about character depth. A person has its advantages, disadvantages, quirks, goals, frustrations, history and what not. It's pretty easy to ask "How many promotions you earned?" instead of "What rank?", the hard is to give your char some life of his own.
