As you put it, the role of the abiter is the role of the cop, but also the role of the judge and the executerner.
The assasine is not 'just' killing, its stalking your pray, marking it, asking your guildmaster were the target is seen.
Last but not least is the ragers. If you can make up a story that defend the anti-magic-view they do not have to be morons. It can be hard and to make a good rager, but it can be done.
