I have to agree that Dawn is put into more RP situations than most other cabals save Troupe. Dawn always has shitloads of quests thrown at them, gets bogged down with pleas for help (needed and far from needed help). Hell, when I was still around as Talen, I remember a time when the Dawn was involved with three quests at once. We were HEAVILY involved in the quest that brought about the conjurer class, and at the same time, doing two other quests which I'm not going to talk about at all cause they still have not been finished, though seem to be dormant for the time being. Granted, there are a few bad RP'ers in Dawn, but you're always going to have a few slip through. The thing about Dawn, though is that by the time someone heros, they learn to roleplay from everyone else in Dawn who IS good at it. As stated above, Dawn has NO offensive powers at all, so any Servants who want to go pk have to do it with their own guild's abilities. Now granted, golden aura helps with that a bit if they are pk'ing evil, but not that much. Their only healing power really doesn't HEAL on it's own, it merely transfers. Now combined with something else, that might be used to heal someone and rid the damage from yourself as well (ie ranger altruisms the plague from someone who is exhausted someplace where there are no herbs to be found, and then runs to a forest and herbs himself to cure the plague in effect healing and not just transferring, but that's beside the point). The one thing that really pisses me off about all this whining about no one in cabals can RP is that generalization again. No matter where you look, you're going to find bad RP except maybe among the tattooed of Thera (since that requires excellent RP to get). Not everyone in cabals sucks at RP though. Else you're saying that people like Thror, Istandil, ect... sucked at RP too. And we all know that isn't the case. If your going to bitch and whine about bad RP in cabals, then at the very least, stop blaming the cabals. Cause that's got nothing to do with it. If someone isn't roleplaying, then it's the person's fault, not the cabals. Personally, I find cabals an incredible RP aide. It give the character something real (well, real in CF, anyway) to stand for, more than just whatever they decide their own moral beliefs to be. It also discourages people from changing their beliefs to fit whatever is needed at the time and saying that they've, "Come to the realization that (fill in the blank)..." just so that they don't get pk'd or so they can feel justified in some action which would otherwise have consequences.
