All the various ideas people have suggested derive from invokers going outside the skills/spells that invokers as a class have, and to use outside sources, like nightgaunts, charmies, necro friends, whatever. And if you have to resort to something outside your class, then something is wrong. Battle should have good powers. They did have good powers. But there is no lack of creativity in the Imm staff and playerbase. There are better options than the current state, options which are not unbalancing as the current ones are. I hope this makes it clearer for you. The issue is not whether battle should have good powers, or whether they make big sacrifices, etc. It is the nature of the powers they do get and how they compare with the abilities of those they face. > This is exactly the issue. The more restricted a cabal is in what they can and can't do, the more powers they receive. They also get power directly related to their cabal's purpose. The least restricted (Empire and Dawn) get the least power. > Dom, Still Off the Rocker
Nobody has said battle should not have powerful abilities. The question is the *nature* of those abilities, and you continue to miss that.
